The Eccotemp L5 is easy to set up and use after I talked with Eccotemp. It truly delivers hot water on demand.

This outdoor shower isAwesome! We are beyond impressed! It's easy to hook up and comes with everything you need to have it operating in minutes, plus it includes the multi-setting shower head (the description wasn't very clear about that). It's easy to operate: install 2 D-cell batteries (not included, or course), hook up your garden hose and a BBQ-sized tank of propane, turn on the water and the gas and flip the switch underneath the unit. Then, turn on the switch on the shower head and the burner ignites. Whammo! you now have a hot shower. And, you won't run out of hot water until you run out of propane! Just to speak to how long a tank of propane will last, two of us have been using this every night for two and a half weeks, so far, and haven't run out of propane, yet. I have already recommended this to many friends, that's just how impressed I really am. You won't be sorry if you buy this unit.

If you're camping, it's warm, and you have access to a steady water pressure and flow rate, the L5 passes. Its cheap, easy, and ok for very light use. As posted by others here, the L5, if used with a pump and water tank, is very finicky. My father (with a lifetime of plumbing experience) and I were frustrated most of the time. My unit didn't last very long either. I'd strongly recommend upgrading to the L10 for anything but the lightest temporary uses. It's everything the L5 is not. Good luck and enjoy!
